Comprehensive manufacturer's warranty
Riding'times offers the owner a 1-year, comprehensive manufacturer's warranty against all manufacturing defects. (Note: Free accessories are not covered by the warranty.)
Warranty period and transfer conditions
The warranty is automatically registered when the original purchaser orders and receives the product from our online store and is valid only for the original purchaser. For the warranty to be transferred to a new owner, the following conditions must be met:
- The one-year warranty period must not have expired since the original owner received the product.
- The new owner must know the name of the original purchaser and the original order number.
Wear parts
"Wear and tear" refers to damage that occurs naturally and inevitably as a result of normal driving. Wear and tear items are not covered by this warranty. Below is a non-exhaustive list of other typical wear and tear items not covered by this warranty:
Tires
warehouse
brake pads
Chains
Freehub body
handlebar grips
Movable rubber parts
Shift and brake cables and housings
spokes
Sprockets
Broken threads/screws
Pedals
Gears
Covered products
Riding'times will replace any component deemed defective or damaged (including damage caused during transport), except in cases of user error. The warranty covers the following products and follows the conditions listed below:
Frame
- E-bike and scooter frames come with a 1-year replacement warranty.
- The warranty covers only a replacement frame. Labor costs for installing parts in replacement frames are not included.
- Riding'times reserves the right to use a new frame with scratches and dents when replacing a frame under this warranty. Frame styles and/or colors not in stock may be substituted with a compatible style and/or color at Riding'times' discretion.
Exclusions:
- corrosion
- Color fading, scratches and impact marks
- Impact damage
- Irreversible changes (e.g. drilling or welding)
- Frame-mounted chain guard (if available)
Batteries
- Riding'times batteries come with a one-year pro rata warranty.
- During the first year, a defective battery will be repaired or replaced free of charge. The warranty period for a repaired or replaced battery remains unchanged from the original purchase date.
Exclusions:
- Defects or damage caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, abnormal use (e.g. stunt driving, racing), improper storage, contact with liquids or chemicals
- Neglect or abnormal physical, electrical or electromechanical stress
- Private modifications
- Scratches, dents and cosmetic damage, unless caused by Riding'times
- Products with removed, defaced, damaged, altered or illegible serial numbers or barcodes
- Normal wear and tear
- Defects or damage caused by the use of unauthorized accessories or improper assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, repair or adjustment
- External causes such as collision, fire, flood, storm, lightning, earthquake, weather conditions, theft, blown fuses or improper electrical use
Further exclusions (batteries):
- Charging with an unsuitable charger
- Improper use of the charger
- Damaged or tampered with battery seals
- Use of the battery in devices other than the specified bicycle or scooter.
Parts and components
- Genuine Riding'times parts and components are covered by a one-year limited warranty. (Replacement of parts within the warranty period after 15 days of receipt of the bike will incur shipping charges.)
Exclusions:
- Parts corroded by weather conditions (moisture, heat, etc.)
- Damage or deterioration of the surface finish, appearance or aesthetics of the product
- Labor costs for replacing or replacing parts
- Defects or damage caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, abnormal use (e.g., stunt driving, racing), improper storage, contact with liquids or chemicals, neglect, or abnormal physical, electrical, or electromechanical stress
- Scratches, dents and cosmetic damage not caused by Riding'times
- Products with removed, defaced, damaged, altered or illegible serial numbers or barcodes
- Defects or damage caused by the use of unauthorized accessories or improper assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, repair or adjustment
- External causes such as collision, fire, flood, storm, lightning, earthquake
- Weather conditions, theft, blown fuses or improper electrical use
- Normal wear and tear not due to defects in workmanship or materials (wear and tear may be assessed by Riding'times).
Claims settlement
1. Warranty claims
All warranty claims must be submitted through Riding'times and sent to support@ridert.com. Each warranty claim must include a proof of purchase and photos or videos of the damaged product. Before submitting a claim, contact Riding'times at support@ridert.com to determine if a claim is eligible. Valid claims submitted within one year of the original purchase will be processed through Riding'times.
Defective displays, batteries, motors, and controllers are eligible for replacement under warranty. If the damage was caused by a modified or damaged third-party accessory, the customer will bear the shipping and labor costs. Otherwise, under normal circumstances, the warranty will be provided to the customer free of charge (shipping, labor, parts). Riding'times will assist you in coordinating the return process with the carrier. Defective accessories generally do not need to be returned unless otherwise specified by the respective supplier.
Riding'times will not replace any part without first seeing photos or videos of the damaged product.
2. Claims for damages in case of transport damage
In case of shipping damage, please contact support@ridert.com with photo or video evidence. Free accessories are not eligible for replacement or compensation if they were scratched during shipping. Note: Shipping damage claims must be submitted within 7 days of receiving the product.
3. Credit card chargebacks
If a credit card chargeback occurs during the purchase of an e-bike or e-scooter and the customer still owns the e-bike or e-scooter, this limited warranty will be void until the credit card chargeback is resolved.
4. Requirement for visual evidence
Riding'times will not replace any covered component under this Limited Warranty without first reviewing photos or videos of the damaged component.
